Head Coach Dana Cordova

Dana Cordova begins her first season as head volleyball at Minot State University. She was named the ninth head volleyball coach in school history in January.

Cordova spent the past six seasons at Tiffin University in Tiffin, Ohio, compiling a 72-99 overall record including a 19-12 season in 2016. The 19 wins set the benchmark for Tiffin volleyball since moving to NCAA Division II. She coached 11 all-conference players and two all-region players during her six seasons at Tiffin.

Before her time at Tiffin, Cordova served as the head volleyball coach for one season at Montana State University-Billings and was the head volleyball coach and head golf coach at Otero Junior College. She compiled a 165-155 record at Otero JC in volleyball where her team’s had 10 players named to the All-Region IX team. Her 2005 squad earned the Sheila R. Worley Sportsmanship Award. Cordova guided the 2006-2007 men’s golf team to Region IX title.

In all, she coached 13 Academic All-Americans and 52 Academic All-Region selections at OJC.

The Trinidad, Colo., native earned all-state honors in both volleyball and basketball and was a four-time state qualifier in track & field as a prep at Hoehne High School. She was named a NJCAA All-American in basketball at Otero Junior College as a player and finished her collegiate career at McPherson College in McPherson, Kan., earning all-conference honors.

Cordova earned her bachelor’s degree in social science in 2000 from McPherson and earned an associate of science degree from Otero Junior College in 1997.
